B20B or B16A? Please Help Me Decide.....
Oh good gawd.
How do you like driving the 1.6 liter now? Same damn thing only you rev it a 1000 more rpms.
get the B20.......torque......no downshifting when wanting to pass people.

What do you drive? If it's anything heavier than a CRX or a hatch or something I'd definitely go for the b20B. Then if $ allows throw in crower 404 cams and valve springs. Lots of torque and can rev safely to ~7500 rpm (depending on who you ask)

It's a 1.8L not a 1.6L in the stock Integra engine.
Go with the B20.......trust me.
well what car are u doing the swap in? i am asuming your going jdm, and the b16a would be cheaper. it has a stronger aftermarket for tuner parts and no mount kits would be needed if done on a civic. also i've heard b20 swaps are a bad idea in a civic, they lean the opposite way of the b16's and put to much weight on the firewall, or am i thinking of the h22??? not sure, honda/acurs aren't my specialties but i love 'em! oh ya this is my first post here, just so everyone knows i am a big honda/acura fan. parents have owned (in order of ownership) vigor, legend, integra, 1.6 el, 3.2 tl and a 3.2 tl type s. my parents rented an S2K in vegas (remind to me to post some pics), and i hope to lease an RSX type s for my first car.

This swap is for a 1990 Acura Integra, 4 door, GS, PW/PL, ABS (can't find strut bar because of this), 5 speed. My current motor B18A (1.8L with 233,000 miles) is blowing heavy smoke everytime I hit it real hard. That's why I wanna swap. It's time for one now. The trans. was just rebuilt 30,000 miles ago that's why I was going to go with B20B (2.0L with crazy torque, long block $1000 shipped) since my trans will work with it. But on the other hand, B16A (1.6L 160HP and 112 lbs. torque $1450 shipped) would also be great. I already have on the B18A headers (DC), CAI (Injen), exhaust (Apexi N1). It will all bolt right on to either engine. I just need some help in making up my mind. I want a smoking *** G2. Like everyone else with a G2. I appreciate all teh help and advice so far. More is very much welcomed.

I'm not 100% sure but i don't think your header will work with the b16a. Anyway, I still say B20. You can keep the tranny, and around town it'll be a more driveable car.

im going with the b20 too. mine should be at my house in the next week hopefully. the torque of the b20 is why i got it. the hp is good too around 143, throw on a better exhaust mani and you get much better results too.
The header will work, depending on which B20 he gets he may have to swap the intake manifolds around. The "tunnel ram" style intake manifold is too tall to clear the hood when closed. As for what engine to get, I am with the majority here and agree with the B20. Then down the line if you want more power and finances permit, build yourself a beast of a B20VTEC.
A b20 will be Much cheaper in your particular situation, as most things will switch right over. The B20 Is a great engine, I have one in a CRX and love it. So Much easier to drive.
