Default B20 vtec idles great, revs rough

Hey Honda ppl,

I have an obd2 b20 vtec.

B20b bottom with b20z pistons, ARP Rod Bolts, ACL Bearings etc.. (irrelevant)

GSR head. Type R throttle body, Intake Manifold ported and polished, head P&P as well.

Stuck with the 240cc saturated injectors.

No engine codes.

Idles great. Revs fine in idle.

When I drive it around the street casually it revs up roughly, don't think it feels like a bog.

I should also mention it's on a p72 ecu.

New NGK spark plugs too. I doubt it's the distributor if it idles smooth?

I've researched and checked many potential causes for this, but haven't found a solution

-Calibrated the throttle sensor to 0.5v

Could this be a vacuum issue?

Any insight would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

New injectors, you would want Type R oil pump n water pump

since its obd2 b20, it already has a vtec oil pump. you should get it tuned because there is no stock ecu to run to make it run good. gsr wp and gsr timing belt

Agreed. The fuel requirements at idle are low, so the car runs fine. As soon as there's load everything leans out. Get it tuned. You simply can't use a stock ecu on a hybrid semi-built engine and expect it to run right.

Thanks for the responses guys, I figured as much.

Seeing as the motor is only mildly modified, do you think an Apexi VAFC will suffice or should I convert to an obd1 chipped ecu?

Thanks in advance

And to add to that I already have the gs-r water pump and timing belt. I read that non vtec water pumps spin too fast at high revs.

Also, do you really believe new injectors are necessary? I have some 345cc peak and hold injectors kicking around from an old Prelude, I could use those
