b20 (stock) into integra
i have a 94 integra i wanan know if i could put.. well i know i can but if it would be beneficial to but a b20 stock engine in my car... its cheap and it puts out more powert then my ls... i know a gsr would be better but im kinda low on funds and i know i should put a vtec head on the b20 block but i dont have the time or money to dio it... should i put a b20 in my car any disadvantages??
HEy if you can get one for a good price, do it. The b20 will bolt right in, you will have to use your tranny, mounts, mount brackets, intermediate shaft, wiring harness, intake/exhaust manifold, distributor. I would try to get the b20z, with the higher compression, because for the b20b's with 8.8:1 compression, the 126 hp will not impress you. The b20z will have good useable torque that you will like. Also you can think about a vtec head later.
Find a B20Z or JDM B20B short block and install that. Just use your LS head, intake manifold.
The B20 has a broader powerband than the LS...if you can find a short block for cheap, get it
