Default B20 or B20 vtec

i drive a 94 acura integra and am having problems with the oil pump in my motor, right now i have a b17 block with a b16xsi head and sicne the block is so old im jsut gonna start fresh with a new motor. im thinking about either just throwing a b20 in or using my head and running b20 vtec. what do yall think based on maybe past xperience or friends experiences. pros and cons would be good. thanks for any help i recieve

Why are you stuck with the B20?

Why not build a B18?

but since thats not an option i guess b20 vtec...

well ok b18 is not completley out of the question but your guys really like the b18 ls over a b20?

Well, either way you decide, at least stay with VTEC. Anything else would be a downgrade, unless of course you decide to go the forced induction route.

im thinking about putting a b20 in it and just chillin with it while i rebuild the motor thats currently in the car, so i can keep vtec cause i love it

my friend has non vtec b20 and its pretty quick but he cant keep up with m single cam v f23 .. thats a fact and he is a good monkey with gears but yeah get a gsr gsr can take my accord out.

I would suggest the b20vtec. If your planning to rebuild a motor on the side then I would go with the b20 and have the rebuilt motor with the vtec head like you were saying.
