Default B20 smog, pass???

Hey does anyone know if I do a jdm b20z swap and left it totally stock to do a CA smog it would pass right? Anyone know?

depends on ECU, and if u have a stock exhaust system, stock headers and a clean cat. ive gotten a stock b20z to pass before but that was with alot of maintance

If the b20 is going into a eg...Then you answer is no since it is considered a light duty truck engine. I have personally askd the ref about this question. A LS would be ok.

Does it matter if the engine is much older than the vehicle? I heard you can't pass smog like that.

The engine has to be the same year or newer than the car to be ref'd.

No way, b20's are not legal swaps. There are was around it, but keep in mind that the b20 is a light truck engine.
