a jdm motor in a 98 civic, can it pass smog?

dont quote me on this but i do not believe it will pass...the motor is from a different category of vehicles...u might be able to slide if u tell em its a b18 and they dont look at the block...but from what i have been told in the past the b20 will not work for smog

Not in Cali, its a classified as a truck engine. No truck engine in a car.

So you cant pass visual.

I have seen an ls pass smog but never a b20
