B20 questions please help
I have a b20 in eg hatch the idle goes up from 800 to 1200 at times?? also how safe is it to rev stock b20 with si trans with ls ecu. when does it stop produce power..?? My moms 93 accord ex wont start there is oil in the spark plugs. would crank up but dont engage. no ecu codes shooting out .. any opinions ?? thanks
Hey Noob. Well i would check all the vaccum hoses on the intake manifold for any that might of came off. You might have one switched with another hose or maybe one of the hoses have a rip or hole thats causing it to leak. This would make your idle fluctuate. As for your moms accord i would get new rubber O-rings for valvecover so that oil will stop leaking in to the sparkplugs. Make sure you clean out all the oil where the plugs go and you should be good to go. The oil is putting out the spark that the coil is producing thats why its not starting up. Goodluck. let us know what happens.
my idle does the same thing after a cold start and sometimes after i've been running it hard and come to an idle. it's most likely the iacv like someone said.
the power drops off around 6k. you can take it to 7400(Ls cut off) but you wont feel any power.

Almost all LS's I've seen with a stock head, no matter what the boltons start falling off at about 5400 RPM. It's just a matter of how fast
that is right hb96 it does do that during cold start u ever get rid of the problem? iacv i cleaned before i swapped along with whole manifold. b16 i had did the same not that often. as for my moms car i tapped the plugs no spark at all has fuel. baybe i should try new ones, i rather get a junk motor for her since it is burning oil, but i live in appartment cant swap. well thanks for all the input guys
