if its stock it stops producing power at stock redline. Be careful don't wanna send the valves through the head

Hey Noob. Well i would check all the vaccum hoses on the intake manifold for any that might of came off. You might have one switched with another hose or maybe one of the hoses have a rip or hole thats causing it to leak. This would make your idle fluctuate. As for your moms accord i would get new rubber O-rings for valvecover so that oil will stop leaking in to the sparkplugs. Make sure you clean out all the oil where the plugs go and you should be good to go. The oil is putting out the spark that the coil is producing thats why its not starting up. Goodluck. let us know what happens.

It could be your IACV thats causing you to idle funny. Did you clean that out before the swap?

my idle does the same thing after a cold start and sometimes after i've been running it hard and come to an idle. it's most likely the iacv like someone said.
the power drops off around 6k. you can take it to 7400(Ls cut off) but you wont feel any power.

Almost all LS's I've seen with a stock head, no matter what the boltons start falling off at about 5400 RPM. It's just a matter of how fast

either you have a automatic intake manifold or you have a bad intake mani gasket or throttle body gasket..
