b20- hondata????
what's up guys? i'm fully building a h.c. b20vtec (almost done
) and was wondering what stage hondata to get and what size injectors? i'm leaning towards rc 440cc and a stage 4 ecu. btw i have 12.21-12.98 comp endyn pistons/gsr head and will be using race gas @ the track, maybe nitrous on the street. do you think it's overkill or not? thanks

if you have the $$$, go w/ stage 4.
I'm running 14.7:1 and RW's in my B20vtec with prelude injectors. Will run on 94 octane without detonation and has enough fuel, but it's not very tunable. 215 and 156 at the wheels. Thicker headgasket is going to be the solution. Let's just say I think we were a little aggressive on decking the block. I'd rather not have to store a 55 gallon drum of race fuel in my garage. Don't think it'll keep over the winter.

need to cc that to check if it really is 14+ CR, seems a little doubtful
i would stay with the RC 310/320 cc injectors which should be able to provide plenty fuel...

stage 4 would be the best, but stage 3 would do the job. RC 440cc would be a little too much, the most i would go is probably RC 310s. the compression that you're telling me it sound kind of high for streets but it'll fly at the tracks, so you might have to tune the timming down on pump gas, but you might just be right on the edge. For that setup, no nitrous at all. you're just going to blow up your motor. good luck on your build up.

310cc DEFINITELY TOO SMALL.
440cc is the size you will want.
Regarding the Hondata, it really boils down to what features you want.
All 2-4 will do the job for you. If you are proficient at tuning, then you
may want to consider the stage 4 so that you can do all of the tuning yourself.
Otherwise, the stage 2 or 3 may be better in order to save some money.

that's what we thought. I'm running Crower 402's for the moment. I use the car for mainly track event(road course), and "nice weather" street duty. I wanted a broad powerband for the racetrack. Very useful for tight tracks. We thought the 402's wold give us that-and they have. Just not quite as high of curve as we had hoped. My scanner is down, so I can't post the graph, but peak torque is @ 6k and peak hp is @ 8000. The 215 and 156 is on 94 octane pump gas as well. I'm sure that has a lot to do with the #'s. We didn't have a chance to run it on race fuel at the dyno.
yes, the head was cc'd and Larry's piston dome specs were part of the equation.
