Default B18C1 piston boring

I have a b18c1 motor, and im trying to figure out what is the biggest bore size that i can do (including rebuilding and sheeving the motor to accommodate the new bore size), i can do with a b18c block without risking having the motor overheating to much or making the block to thin so that it would crack. any ideas?

The biggest safe bore on stock sleeves is 82mm (+1mm or +.040").

with a sleeved motor you can go to 84 and sometimes bigger, but depends on how much you want to risk

And that has WHAT to do with his B-series motor.

I've seen as big as 87mm on an n/a B18C1. I currently have 84.5mm in my Turbo B18C1.

This link below shows a 2.2L kit for the b-series:

http://www.accountwizard.com/c...d=368

It doesn't list the detailed specs on the link I provided, but I know that eagle's longest stroked B-Series crank is 92mm, so the bore would have to be 87mm or 87.5mm to achieve a 2186cc or 2212cc displacement which translates to 2.2L.

Obviously you'd have to resleeve to do this.

anyone else read the article in honda-tuning about the webbing of the mains "relaxing" once the sleeves are taken out, and how they go even more out of whack when the new ones are pressed in?

Maybe all-motor but that would be pushing thin.

with darton sleeves 85mm is max. bore thats usually reserved for race motors 84mm is the safe zone for a street bore and can easily take 12+ compression without worries...proven time and time again with dartons mids...

i did. i've also read things on here from earl and a few other sleeving company's saying otherwise when sleeved correctly.
