Default B18B1 piston and compression questions

i have bad compression on all of my cylinders i have had more than one and i dont wont to buy a new engine cause i just brought a eg hatch today (94 INTEGRA LS R.I.P.) and im not too smart win it comes to engine internals but i was thinking maybe i need to change my pistons. I found some type R pistons brand new for $250 but i red that a vtech head has some type of piston oil spayers and i was wondering would things work out if i put them in my stoke B18b1

i know people say ls motors are good for turbo cause of low compression but i have a few friends with bad experiences so i thought id just raise the compression for a mild upgrade of power

i could use some replies ASAP cause im trying to be started on ths swap from my integra to my hatch before xmas this week

what was the #s on the compression test? LS motors have low compression because they are not vtec motors and only need 87 octane so they are more reliable and more economic but on the other hand what is the mileage on that motor and the compression? btw they are around 9:1 comp give or take.

u can definitely stick higher comp pistons in there you would just have to accomodate for fuel or tuning depending how high you go. but if you dont have to change them for no reason then dont bother.

did u try a wet compression test to see if its the rings? or mabey try a vacuum test first. this could be the reason for the low comp readings. i would at LEAST do a wet compression test, running compression test, leakage test, and cylinder power balance test...but first do a vacuum test cause vacuum test reveal a lot about engine condition.

engine has 137,000 miles and i can't remember the compression #s but one was as low a 160

i had a vacuam gauge in the car before i recked it and i checked the haynes book and it was at the right number
is a wet test the thing with puting oil in the spark plug hole i really don't know how to do that
i used a compression meter and all 4 cylinders were different and none were equal to stoke numbers
today a guy told me to buy a engine rebuild kit with piston rings
i still want higher compression tho will those type r pistons work i heard i might get detination
