Default B18B burning oil

Posting for my girlfriend, she has a 1993 Hatch with a B18B engine swap. Engines been in for over 2 years and is burning oil now. Car has I/H/E but no internal mods. Now, she changed the oil about two weeks ago and it has since burned about 1L of oil. She changed to 10W40 and it did nothing, still burns oil. My guess is it would either be Valve seals, Piston rings, or blow-by(I dont think its this because I changed the PCV about 2 months ago)

The engine looks like its brand new, and theres no oil leaking anywhere. So its been burnt somewhere. So my question to you is, is there anything else besides what I think that I could check before I dwell to deep into a rebuild for her?
