b18a1 vs. b18b
Alright, i know the b18b from the newer generation tegs is a good canidate for a ls/vtec turbo, but at the moment i have the oppurtunity to pick up a b18a1 block from an older teg 90-93 to be exact for really cheap. This motor has been semi rebuilt w/ new thrust and crank bearings, and rod bearings. It also has been checked over by a machine shop to meet the specs and cleaned up...Would this be a bad investment towards my ls/vtec turbo setup. What i really want to know is what are the major changes in the b18b shortblock and the b18a1 shortblock if there are any?
so if i was to slap a b18c1 head on top i wouldnt run into any ohter problems besides the standard ls/vtec shiznit..correct? The head by the way is from a 94 gsr if that matters at all about the whole pcv system.
