Default b16a2 vs b18b

Sorry I know this has been done alot but.........

Which would you recommed to be build as an NA motor?

I know some of the pros and cons of each, but i have never had any experience with either. Also boosting is not a feasible option for me.
Thanks!!

I personally would go with a b18b.

i would look here if you want some real answers -

IMO, i would go with the b16 over the b18b. why? because of VTEC!
unless you go ls/vtec, then that's a different topic.

I'd go with the B16 over the B18b as well

it's a snappier engine, picks up faster, and once vtec hits in and it's in the power band the thing takes off...pretty much just like philosofy said...and if of course ur making an ls/vtec with the b18b (slapping a B16 head on it) I'd take the B16 over a B18 anyday, but I'd take an LS/Vtec (B18 w/ B16 head) over a B16 any day...

I'm talkin about all these motors in stock I/H/E condition, no aftermarket bullshit

PS:
oh yeah...btw, IN GENERAL, (so don't burn me at the stake for this comment), IN GENERAL, more displacement responds better to bolt ons...so the 1/5's of a liter more in the LS motor will really help ya if ur going NA, but the Type R or GSR is the way u really wanna go if ur going NA, either that or obviously the K20, H22, or B20

Probably the easiest to build NA would be the H22, have to do some fab work to get it in, but it by far has the easiest potential for an NA motor, it's cheap as the B16 too....

thanks for the replies, my thinking was get the b16 for the time being, then get an ls block and make an attemp at ls/v, since i would need most of the components from teh b16 anyways. My brother did bring up the H22, but i havent done a swap before and i think it may be too much for myself.
