b18a/b crank in a b16???

Default b18a/b crank in a b16???

I did a search for this and no luck, so sorry if this a repeat question. I need to know if a b18a/b crank with ls pistons will fit in a 1st gen b16a. thanks

yes crank and pistons will fit but you need shorter rods

Even with a high mounted wristpin you'll still have a really shitty R/S... If you wanna use that crank just get a B18A/B B20B/Z.... Just my $0.02... Latez

yeah people already complain about the bad R/S ratio of a plain LS but to put that in a lower deck B16a would be just cr@p...thats $0.04 total for ya...

That's just too much stroke for the shorter deck height of the b16. Use the b17 crank & rods to stroke it. You'll still have a respectable 1.62:1 r/s and more torque.

thanks for all the responses. i want to the b17 crank, but its to hard to find one and a decent price. i can get the b18a/b/c's easliy. i guess i'll just stick with the stock crank till i find one from the b17.
