Icon6 B18 Problems Need Some Help

I have a B18A1 swap in my 93 Civic EG Hatch the car will start and run fine when it has been sitting and the motor is not warm. But when I start the car and let it run for a little bit or drive it then turn the key off the car will not start again. I just got done replacing the Ignition Control Module because some people have told me that could be my problem. Still wont start after the car is warm the engine will just crank. The fuel pump kicks on and primes so I dont think it is the main relay. Could use some advice on what the problem might be if anyone can help me.

I think I am actually running to much fuel because when I get up in the higher RPMs it will start to pop like a 2 step till I shift gears. The spark plugs are also a black color when I pull a spark plug after trying to get the car to start also when I look into the cylinder the top of the pistons is all wet with fuel.

Do you have spark, is it a "strong" spark?
Are your injectors pulsing, could they be "sticking open"? 94

From what I have checked out I have spark I have an MSD ignition with a Blaster SS coil. If my injectors are sticking open how can I tell or know.

Is it a strong spark?
If the black "stuff" on plugs looks soft and sooty it could mean over rich air/fuel mix or a weak spark, or is it a wet black?

You can use a noid light... http://www.noidlight.com/how-to-use-a-noid-light/ a multimeter or low current test light to check the injectors. 94

Do you actually hear the main relay click? I had the same problem on a 94 hatch. My fuel pump would prime and everything but the relay never clicked. I took it to Hondoctors and they replaced the relay and I haven't had any problems since. Just a thought......

I cant say that I have heard the main relay click just the pump kick on then off is about all I hear but I guess I will just replace that an see what happens I guess I am running out of options really. Next step is to take it to someone that knows what the heck they are doing.

Replacing parts without knowing what the problem is is an expensive way to troubleshoot a problem.

If you are getting fuel into the cylinders, it is a good bet the PGM-FI Main Relay is working.

If you can not hear the clicks of the relay, you can feel them, hold the PGM-FI Main Relay in your hand, turn on the ign., you will hear/feel two (2) "clicks", it may feel like one click as they are very close together, first click is the injector relay, the second click is the fuel pump relay, at the same time you will hear the fuel pump turn on and the CEL will turn on, after a few sec. you will hear/feel the 3rd click, [fuel pump relay turning off] fuel pump will stop and the CEL will go out.

Leave ign. on and check for power at the injectors, [wire that is the same color on all injectors].

If all the above is happening there is nothing wrong with the PGM-FI Main Relay.

Again, how good is the spark??? 94

I just checked the main relay and from what I can hear it is clicking so I guess that is working. The spark is a pretty stong spark I just checked that also. So I am lost with what is wrong with it haha
