Default B16b to B18C

Can anyone help me out here please?

I am about to order some parts for my B16B EK9, and I am looking to get the Spoon 1.8 stroker kit for my car. The kit come with the pistons, crank, rods and head gasket. But I am thinking of using the original ek9 pistons to give a better/higher compression ratio. Will the spoon 1.8 con-rods fit straight into my original pistons???? I have heard that the pistons pins could be different. Is that true?

I heard that I need some sort of bearings when I want to fit in some new pistons, and the spoon kit doesn't come with that. So does that mean I have to buy some sort of bearings? But from where?

Thanks very much for any help

Andy

forget the spoon kit. just buy a gsr crank and rods. get some new bearings or
just take it all to a mechanic to do for you.

Dude is right. The Spoon kit is basically and ITR/GSR crank with better rods and pistons.
I suggest you talk to a mechanic or a machinist before you start buying engine parts....

the price isnt that bad on that stroker kit and if you are going to spend 1100 on it then just use all the new parts dont use your stock pistons sell them. i think that kit bumps comp up to 11:4:1. hey if you have the money and someone to put it in go for it, it will be night and day difference and be brand new parts.

nextell buddy- whats so hard about it? take the motor out and disasemble the bottom end. then put new parts in. if you have a helms manual and tools and ofcourse time then your set. i say its not hard because i have done that type of thing and have mechanic friends.
