Default b16a crank in a b18b block?

i am wondering is it good to put a b16 crank into a b18 block. cause i am planning on getting an ls block but its missing the crank. so i am just using the b16 crank but evrything else will be from the ls(pistons, rods, etc.)...well let me know what you guys think

yes it will work.. b16 crank has a much smaller stroke than a ls.. i'd get a ls crank. you'll have a big loss in power. b16 stroke is 77 and a ls is 89mm. comparing also that the rods of a b16 are 134 and ls are 137.

okay i have another question.

what if i transfer the b16 internals into a b18b bare block will everything just fit rite in? the reason i am asking is because my b16 block has 2 broken headstuds and they are stuck in the block and i know i'll have to tap in the vtec if i put a vtec head on if i do transfer everything to the ls block. lmk thanks
