did you just recently get this engine?when i got my h22 of a engine importer it was smoking like a motha, making me go back and yell at the person who sold it to me. he just said run it for like a week or two and it will clear up..and it did.no smoke at all.but if you already got time with this engine it could be your rings

i know this might feel like **** buit the fact that is throwing out blue smoke is because youre burning oil. black smoke is from a ritch mixture.if the smoke quits coming out when idling. is just your valve seals that are bad.dont stress out and have your compression checked.if its normal then you dont need a new block. could be that you just need the heads fixed.or buy new ones and trade those in to cut the price down. idling bad could just be because you are gettin oil in your chamber. here try this. get a can of fuel injection cleaner.unhook your air intake from the throtle body . start the engine and spray it into the intake manifold.dont let the engine die.rev it up by the intake at the same time you spray it in there.spray so much in the intake that if you have the throtle open like 1/4 the the ingine still sounds like if it was idling.(rough idling of course).if you see that the car is throwing a lot of blue and white smoke from the exhoust.that means youre cleaning the **** out of it. after that shut off the engine.open the throtle body all the way and you are going to notice is gonna be black as hell in there still.spray the fuel injection cleaner all around inside the plenum and notice all the black tar come off.try to start your engine.it will take a while since it will be flooded from al that crap that just came off your inner walls of the intake manifold.this might help your idling problem by cleaning all the sensors an the mainifold. i hope this woks for you man. rmember dont loose hope. it could just be a simper problem. but try it. it really worked for me
