Default Got SMOKE ?

I just recently been getting whitish smoke out of my tail pipe. I'm almost 100% positive its oil burning but i have no clue why. Its not smoking constantly but only every now and then. sometimes a little and sometimes enough to make the car behind me do a ninja dissapearing trick. I checked the turbo for play and theres none. all i can find is plug #4 was wet and all the others were dry. Anyone got any ideas? Is this a major problem? i can still drive and i made a couple of pulls with full power and no problems (besides for the smoke that is) Also at high rpms you would think it would smoke more, but seems to be less. I can idle with no smoke and out of no where it will start up. I'm lost. Maybe a bad piston ring? any help would be appreciated.

Probably smoking after decelerating right? Or idling for a bit and then a stab of the gas? Sounds like a typical honda ring problem to me. carbon buildup usually hold the low tension oil rings in their groove, and they cannot expand or move freely. High vacuum in the cylinder pulls some oil up past. I have done numerous quick and dirty re-rings before, but its best to just pull the whole thing and freshen it up.

I had a friend with a great running gsr, one day it started smoking badly. We pulled it apart and low and behold the number 3 cylinder had the rings stuck. hottest running cylinder = most likey to have deposit buildup.

you could try a dose of Seafoam, but if the rings are really stuck, it might not work. Its cheap, and can't hurt.
