B16 questions
I was lookin at a CRX with a B16 in it that I was thinking of buying. Anyway i was talkin to the guy and heres what he said about it
Japanese block
a "k wop" or somethin like that block, what does this mean?
has a 2000 civic Si head on it
says that compression is 230 on all cylinders, isnt this REALLY high for a b16?
and its on mounts that he made and welded himself, can these be any good?
thanks for the help

First off I have no idea what in the world a "k wop" is. Second off 230 is a bit high, but is good if it's consistant. Lastly there's nothing wrong with homemade mounts as long as the engine sits in the proper location, at the proper angle, and is straight. Ask the guy how long it's been since the swap, and how quickly he goes through a set of axles. Axles frequently going bad are a sign of improper engine mounting.

i have heard diff stories about the compression like 185 was brand new. but im running a b16 2nd gen and have 225-224-225-229 and the mounts are ok as long as the motor is sitting correctly, like previously mentioned
