Default b16 and gsr head ?

Is the height of the b16 and b18c the same? My friend spun the berings on his 95 gsr and Im going to let him use my b16 that I have laying in my garage. I know that the block deck heights are different but what about the heads?

Thanks,
Aron

The heads are a direct swap.

~Deck heights are the same

~The cyl heads are direct swaps but the actual heads are not identical. For one thing the GSR has smaller conbustion chambers than the B16 head. There are other differences also.....searching should bring them to your attention.

Maybe the stock intake from the GSR won't fit there.

Well,if a ITR manifold fits a B16 head and the ITR intake manifold doesn't fit the GSR head without major work,so is my thought.

not true. b16a block and pistons + b18c1 head = 10.44639248907355:1 CR which is up a little from stock b18c1

in my opinion, i'd just swap the GSR cams in the B16 head.

Well we just want to temporarily (SP?) swap the bottom end until we can rebuild the b18. So it would be a b16 bottom with a gsr head. I was asking if the heads were the same height. I know that the b18 block is taller than the b16 so we would need to use the b16 timing belt since were using the b16 bottom.
