I have a 2000 si and I my passengerside halfshaft is going bad, used to make a clicking when I stopped. I went to autozone and discount autoparts and neither of them can get the halfshafts. I can't afford to spend $300+ on aftermarket ones anytime in the near future but I need to replace it. I already tried searching and found nothing useful. does anyone know a site that sells them cheap, or another year model car that has the same shafts? Anyone bought them from NAPA or PePBoys? thanks for any replies.

 

Don't know about cheap, but a year or two ago I got some from http://www.raxles.com . Excellent quality, good personal service. A lot of information on their web site regarding rebuilt vs remanufactured, etc.

 

if they have a problem getting an axle for a 99-00 SI, tell them (parts store) to order axles for 95-01 GSR. They are the same and also have the ABS ring on them. They Should stock them, being that they been around longer

 

the ABS ring? Si's don't have ABS so can the ring be removed? and thanks for the advice.

 

Weather your car has ABS or not, it doesnt matter of the axle has it or not, hehe. You dont have to take it off, it has no function when its installed on a non-abs car, it does no harm... BUT, if you really want to get axles without abs, 94-01 integra LS axles will fit yer car, and have no abs ring on them
