ok here's the situation....
92 cx hatchback
b16a swap
94 del sol tranny/w opm autosport lsd
92 integra halfshaft

here's my problem....changed the axle seal last week now the pass. side axle won't stay
in the tranny...i 've gotten 3 new axles for a 94 integra and they all do the smae thing....i've opened up all the clips on every one....and still the same thing....when it goes in, the inner joint is right on the axle seal so i don't see how it can go in anymore
,but it's like the clip is seating enough for me not to be able to pull it out by hand but when it gets moving it works its way out again...before i changed the seal it worked perfect...but it almost seems like the axle is a little short...there's a little stress on the inner joint but it kinda looks normal.....i'm all out of ideas....i've searched on every forum i can find for answers to this problem if any of you guys have ideas throw them my way cuz this is rediculous.....i 've done quite a few of these and never had a problem like this

is the original clip stuck in there and the new one sorta slips in

 

if its in there i cant see it.... i thought about that....but i don't see it @ all

 

got a differet axle..... it seems to be the right one....but the inner joint still tries to work its way out still.....how far open can i stretch that c clip before it doesn't function properly.....it seem like its in there,but i know it should lock in there better than that

 

I think you answered your own question. If you have to stretch the clip, it means the groove on the diff has been worn. It will make it worse over time. One thing I would try is to push the small end of the boot farther toward the end of the axle. Both sides. It may remove enough stress to stop it from popping out. The other issue you should be looking at is your ball joints and wheel bearing. If there's slop in any of those, it could be enough to pop it out.
