auto trans question
Well here is the story...
Awhile back a guy from work gave me a civic in great condiion with fairly low miles for free as he suspected the tranny was blown. Well I figured since those trannys are a dime a dozen, I would take the car off his hands, swap the tranny and sell it. The symtons of the original tranny were: car goes into all gears, but will not move. Speedo reads speed when gas is pressed. Well I got a replacement tranny, put it in, and drove around just fine for maybe 3 miles. Then the car just died and leaked a **** load of fluid out within seconds. Then the same symptons started to occur again.
Best i can figure is the torque converter, as I did not change it out. Anyone got any ideas?

the torque converter holds alot of fluid, if the old fluid got into the new trans it could have damaged it, dont know why your loosing fluid, maybe te t.c. is cracked or internally damaged.
