No it's not unfortunately.

You need to have it flushed. If it has been a long time between changes

If it is slipping or making funny noises. It is probably done for. Have a pro check it out.

If the car is relatively new some manufactures suggest a drain and fill. Where you can drain what's in the pan and replace it. But that is only about 1/3 of the fluid that is in the tranny. All of the fluid in the cooler, torque converter and valve body will still remain.

Auto trannies take allot of fluid. My toyota truck holds 10+quarts.

I have done a ghetto flush before on my truck. If you think you can pull it off go for it. It got the job done for me. But there is obvious risk involved if you mess up.

Get two old (same size) antifreeze bottles. Clean one, let it dry and fill it with new ATF. The other one can be dirty because it will be used to collect the old fluid.

Jack the car up so the drive wheels are not touching the ground.

Disconnect the atf cooler line where it goes back into the the tranny. Then stick the end of it in the empty bottle. This will collect the old fluid.

**Turn the car on cycle it through the gears and then shut it down once the fluid starts to sputter.

Add new fluid to the tranny. (however much was collected in the other bottle).

Repeat**

ect. Once the drain bottle is full stop. Reconnect the cooler line and pour whatever new atf is left into the tranny.

Fire the engine up cycle it through the gears, shut it down and then check your fluid level. (Some cars require that the engine be running to check the fluid.)

Have a spare quart on hand just for topping off.

~~
Some makes require the filter to be replaced some don't. If you want to replace the filter do that first before flushing.
Drain tranny, Remove pan, r&r filter, reinstall pan, add however much was drained.
Then start the flushing process.
~~

It is allot of work compared to an oil change.

Recommended Fluid
Use Honda Premium Formula Automatic Fluid (ATF) a non-Honda ATF can affect shift quality. Fluid Capacity - Refill 2.9 Dry Fill 6.2

Checking Transaxle Fluid Level
Start and run engine until it reaches normal operating temp. Turn ignition off. Check fluid level with vehicle on level surface. Fluid level should be between upper and lower marks on dipstick. Add fluid if necessary.

Draining & Refilling Transaxle
Warm Transaxle to normal operating temp. Remove Transaxle drain plug. Using new gasket, replace drain plug when fluid is drained. Tighten drain plug to specifacation. Refill transaxle to upper mark on dipstick.
Torque spec 36 FT .Lbs Drain plug

i dont think Honda/Acura auto trannys were meant to be flushed..they dont have places to hook up a flushing machine...i have not seen any of the techs at my honda dealership ever flush a auto tranny b4 unless its a new reman tranny that they just put in...other than that they just drain and refill everything they do a service on them..i even asked one of our master techs y we dont flush them and he says they are not meant to be flushed like other cars do

Maybe you don't need to flush it then.

btw: Most transmissions don't have a dedicated place to hook up a flushing tool.
They are usually directly attached to the valvebody or they tap into a cooler line.
