attn valve cover cutters....
what is the best way to cut it. i have a dremel, ive heard putting masking tape down and cuttin on that. any stencils around here.. either the moon cut (2 semi-circles) or the full cut.

A stencil would be a better idea. I would recommend moon circles since it helps protect a little bit more. If you don't need "easy" tune gears, I would recommend just leaving it how it is.
Most likey nothing will ever get caught in it, but a good safty procaution.

I did a lovely moon cut with a dremel and jigsaw. Then fabricated a little removable cover for it out of alum. Turned out pretty good, I never did paint the cover though, I've had it off for a couple months now.

I think we used a die grinder, and used a dremel polisher to smooth everything up.
