Default ARP headstud question..HELP!!!!!

Do i just put the arp thread sealer on the threads and let them dry then torque it down..or do i need to put the sealer on and bolt it down then let it dry..?? Also, how long do i have to wait for it to dry? or do i even need to wait?
btw, headgasket started leaking amonth after i put those studs in last time. I put the sealer on, torqued it and drove on it after a few hours.

there is no thread sealer.

make sure if you use the arp lubricant that you torque to 70lbft. if you use oil
use 80 or 85lbft whatever arp recommends

Mine didnt come with any lube package. The guy at summit told me to order a bottle of arp thread sealer, so i got that.

btw, i know what ur talking about with the lube package, that came with my rod bolts.

Should i use loc tite or motor oil torqued to 80ftlbs??thanks

i would suggest using hte ARP moly assembally lube on both ends of the studs. incase you need to remove tham at some stage...

the box of studs should have had lube in it already...

the loctie/thread seal is only for other applications...

HTH,

Do the bolts extend into the water jackets? This is off ARP's page and it says something about thread sealer. Dont know if this helps or not.
