arp head bolts installation????

Default arp head bolts installation????

do you need to hand tighten them then tourque, or jam nut and tighten then tourque

if you mean head studs,the studs are supposed to be finger tight to the bottom.

snug them in by hand. make sure they are all level. apply moly lube to threads.. then do 26 ft lbs first pass 63 second pass and 75 third. This is how i've always torqued arp head studs and i've never had a problem. I think the instructions in the arp box say 70 ft lbs with the moly lube and 80 ft lbs with regular oil.

Everyone has their own opinion on what to torque them to though. i do it to 75 ft lbs and i've never had one problem with them on many different engines.

do i take off the whole head? can i just take the cam rods off and take out the bolts with out removing the head? that would be alot to do taking tubes off and disconnecting this and that.......
