re-tourqing head?

Default re-tourqing head?

thould I re-tq. the head after I rebuild the motor or just use some lock tight and call it a day??

dont put loctite on the head bolts, if thats what you're saying. put the head on and if they're reused head bolts, i usually set the torque wrench about 2ft/lb over the recommend torque to account for any stretch in the bolts.

As for ARP head bolts/studs, to my understanding you're supposed to torque them down, then loosen them, and then retorque them. then check them again after a couple hundred miles.

FYI, a local shop told me that ARP head studs/bolts are only good for 2 uses and then you should replace them.. dont know the validity of this statement though.

so after you take out off you should re Tq. them. im using aebs head studs
