Default apexi vafc help

(this is a repost in hopes for a quicker and more efficient response)

I just finished installing my vafc in my 01 gsr. I'm not the best with wiring but from what I can tell everything is wired right. The 2 problems I am having tho is 1, it does not read the rpms at all and more importantly the car runs like its not on all cylinders. I know that the intro settings are right and I know I need to learn how to adjust everything. I was sure the car wouldn't run as good once I first hooked it up but I thought it would at least be driveable. So does it sound like its something else or do I just need to find somebody alot more knowledgeable on tuning it more properly. Like I said, it feels as if its not on all cylinders and has very little power. It does not seem to be driveable eventho I took it around the block to see if I could figure something out. And as for the rpm wire, my guess is it has to be something with the wiring, but is there any possibilities it could be anything else? If I dont figure something out I'll probably just disconnect it at least for now. and another possible factor is that I bought it used.

im really shure your wiring is wrong becuase your tach should read on the vafc. it's should be driveable untuned also. check the website to see if your wiring is correct: http://www.apexi-usa.com/support_installation.asp

If you haven't done so already you have to go through the initial setup procedures and then the car will run perfectly fine without having it tuned.
