Default apexi vafc gets hot?

i just installed a vafc a couple days ago and i have noticed that the unit gets pretty warm when the car is on, is this normal?

how warm does it get? because i think if its not hot where you can't even touch it, that should be normal, i remember mine was luke warm sorta speak.
its normal because its an electronic equipment. but if you think its not natural, then double your wiring. that might be the problem.

its not that hot. just warm, but i wasnt sure if this was normal.

they usually get warm after awhile. Bright blue leds and electronics = warm plastic

It's normal. Mine is warm too. I would put that in the glove box. My car was broken into. The guy jank it out, but I have the wiring routed behind the glove box. So, he cut the wires, found out it's useless once he cut it. Left without the unit. Now I have a taped up unit. hehe

good advice, that is part of my project tomorrow. i just did a quick install to be sure that my wiring was correct. i didnt want to do all that work and find out that i f'ed something up with the wiring. thanks for the replies guys

They do get warm, i drove for about 500 miles yesterday and it got very warm indeed

I used to have mine below the radio and i know theives can't get it out. I made a custom bracket and bolted mine to the car. The only way thieves can get it out was to take off my whole dash board and unbolt it.
