Default anyone know vtec???

I have a ls/vtec and the oil pressure to the head is fine untill the vtec solinoid kicks in. The pressure is dissapearing then if i keep on it untill 7k my cel comes on its code 22 vtec oil pressure switch i just put in a new one and its doing the same thing. where could this pressuer be going. where dose the oil go once it enters the head and is there something that could be missing that would cause the oil to pass trough the part of the head that locks in the second rockers. Any help would be great. I have done my reasearch and did every thing properly with a new p72 oil pump etc.

Is there something that is possibly clogging the oil, like a defective filter or a piece of debris?

Also check out the solenoid filter, and the VTEC oil pressure switch.

every thing up to the head is fine I think and the screen and gasket are brand new from acura. The pressure from my line is fine but if i short the vtec solinoid (letting the oil into the head the pressure drops too much its like whatever is in the head that stops the oil isnt stoping the oil. Unless my understanding of vtec is *** backwards. The oil is sent into a passage and the oil pressure locks the 2nd rockes its like what ever catches the oil isnt catching it. This has got me to the point of trashing the whole project 2grand deep.

Do you have a oil pressure guage to monitor the op? What kind of head gasket did you use on the build up?
