Default Anti-Theft Question

I have read all these threads about Fuel Kill Switches... and I was wondering..

If I just disconnect my V-AFC from the ECU everytime I leave the car, will it keep the car from starting???

Also, will it loose it's memory from past dyno tunings if I disconnet the V-AFC harness plug.

Basically, meaning, leaving the actually soldered ends in the Factory Engine Harness, but disconnect the Apex-i wires where they meet at the given plug....

happens all the time with ITRs... it's not uncommon for the thieves to just tow a car

I'll take my chances with them trying to get my car on a flatbed... (Dumped on TEIN SS Dampners), parking break on, and with the car IN gear, rather than them just breaking in and igniting the car, and driving off...

If you have ever seen Repo Men on Discovery Channel you know that parking anyway you want, etc. will not help if they want your car.

Yes, I have seen it on Discovery... but the odds of that happening are slim and none, especially since, I owe no one any money.

You don't have to owe anyone money. If a theif wants your car they can do the same thing as a repo man and jack your car.

Dude, just understand that ANY car can be stolen no matter what little intricate fuel cut off tricks, ecu or VAFC removal you do...or anything. Yes, you can create "barriers of defense" but if a ******* thief wants your car, he'll take that **** if he's skilled enough in the arts of evil. And its common for thieves nowawdays to tow cars away. It happened to previous EG civic.

Best thing to have is full coverage & property insurance on your car & pray your **** don't get gotten, if you dont have a garage or you park on the street or apt. complex parking stall.

If you've never had your car stolen before, I'll tell you this, it hurts like a MF'er when its taken and recovered stripped of all its beauty and then you realize you only have liabliity insurance which is a nice swift kicking of ya own *****!
