Default another ckf Q

ive done searches and learned that they are only in 96+ cars....my situation is i have a 97 gsr motor and a 94 ls body, can i just snip the sensor wires and forget it ever existed since pre 96 cars didnt have them and can i cut the sensor connection to the car wiring harness that has an aditional wire...off the top of my head i believe it was yellow/red

If you're using the '97 GSR ECU it'll be looking for that sensor. It'll also have different pinouts vs. the '94 wiring harness.

The sensor is an OBD2 emissions thing to detect misfires. If you're using an OBD1 ecu, it doesn't even have a spot for it, so it can disappear.
