Another A/C question
On my 93 Eagle Talon I have oil on one of the lines coming from the codenser. I don't think I have a loss of pressure (haven't checked) and my A/C works fine.
Does anyone know what this is?
This is one side of the condenser with the drier/ receiver and it looks fine:

This is the side with the problem. You can see the line that connects to the condenser has oil on it:

Ya, the loop is P/S fluid cooler. I think I have oil on there too becuase I was touching it trying to feel were the leak was coming from.
When I looked again, the connector isn't coming off the condenser. It just attaches to the other line that you can see behind the P/S fluid cooler.
The fluid looked very clear on my hand.
thanks for your help

possibly polypropalene oil (PAG oil) or some kind of similar substance in the A/C system. if nothing is leaking up above it then that would definitely be considered an A/C leak.

I wonder why I don't have a loss of pressure than.

sorry.. didnt mean polypropalene but whatever oil that is that is used in A/C systems. you probably won't recognize a change in A/C temperature right away. Looks like it's just seeping through. but odds are that it's an A/C leak. In my experiences, that's what it looks like when it leaks.
Thanks again. I'll probably do a pressure check soon. At least the leak looks like it's in an area that's easy to get to.
What do you think I'll have to do to repair it? Just get a new seal?

Well if it's an A/C line then you'll probably have to drain the system. Then check to make sure it's not the line that's bad because it would suck if you just replace the o-ring only to find out later that the line is leaking. After you put everything back together then you'd have to recharge the A/C.
