Oil level question. please help
i know this is probably a noob question, but once the motor has been started and running and you check the oil right after it should be at a low point because oil has already begun circulating through the motor right?
so after i let it sit for awhile its at a normal level, then after driving for about a minute, its all the way down below the first line on the dip stick.
any ideas?
any ideas?
Should be somewhere bewteen the lines when the car is off. Dont check it with the car on because it will vary alot on the oil temp (if its cold the oil will tend to stay in the top of the head and not drain back down as quick as when its hot). Dont worry about the oil pressure sensor....Im not even sure what you're going to check with it.

what im referring too is after the motor has been running what is the appropriate level that the oil should be at. -_-

thanks for the info. what i mean by checking the oil pressure censor is checking to see if its off or loose or something.
