Default am i wasting time and money

I am buying a 96-99 civic ex and i plan on doing the si motor swap and installing a bolt on turbo. now my question is when i buy my car should i try to mod the stock engine by putting headers on or should i just save my money for when i go for the si motor and turbo? i was planning on installing an intake exaust and headers as soon as i got the car and the swap and turbo would come later, would i just be wasting time and money?

You may want to consider just buying a 6g Si straight up as it will probably be cheaper in the end than buying an EX and doing a swap. Cleaner too. Unless you're getting your EX for really cheap....

OR, you could look for someone who is selling there car with the swap already done. Here in So Cal, I can find a new one every day. Don't know about anywhere else but they usually go for 10 at the most. Why purchase something that you are going to swap. Just purchase something that already has the swap done. Then, take the extra money that you saved and rebuild or what ever.

I agree 100% with spade. There are so many people whoring their hybrids it's sad. I've seen B18c EG's sell in the $6000-7000 range in socal. No reason to buy a car with the intention of swapping. Enough out there already, if you're just getting into the game.
