my question is, is there a different area to pull the codes on a 93 hatch than a 97 civic ex? i wouldnt think so but it didnt work for me, any help would be great.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

nope, should be exactly the same.
Make sure when you jump your friends 93 hatch, that you jump the smaller diagnostic plug, while the car is on w/check light being thrown...

the car has to be totally running, with the check light ON, then you jump the service connector and the check light will then start blinking.
