is there an inline fuse on a b18 ls motor alternator?

 

I don't remember if there's a fuse in the alternator itself, but some cars have a VSS/ALT fuse under the dash. If that fuse is out, your speedometer may behave erratically, your alternator won't be able to charge the system, and your battery will eventually drain.

 

well my rpm gauge is jumping all over and wen i unhook my negative terminal it dies.
