ok guys I had my local mechanic do the work and it cools ok but im getting this whistling behind the glove box now and the compressor shuts on and off rapidly....what could it be ???

also he flushed everything before installing the new stuff and charged and vacuumed the system manually could that be the issue ?? maybe there is air in the system ?

I will take it to my friends shop tomorrow that has an a/c machine and pull a complete evac on it and recharge with r134 and ?pag 100?

any tips ???

I also noticed when I drove the car home the lighted ac button and or ac turned off all on its own

 

rapid compressor cycling is usually from having a low charge, but not always. I'd start there. Could also be a restriction at the expansion valve in the evaporator core
