Default Aligning a bent frame

I was wondering what it usually costs (aballpark figure) to have a frame checked and then bent back to shape if necessary. I went and got a quote on it from a guy who seemed honest enough and was very up-front about whats done and how much it costs, but I just want to be very sure he is not jerking my chain as the process was not what I would call cheap. I have had a couple of bad experiences with ONE mechanic my parents dealt with on the POS they provided (no complaints of course) for me for my first couple of years driving, so I am always edgy about bringing in my car to get worked on. I'm sure I'll get over it eventually. Anyway, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
