Default air/fuel gauge problem

i recently installed my autometer air fuel gauge and it seems to stay in the rich area untill i get down on it, then it will move into the stoich area. i hooked up the gauge according to the directions is my motor just running rich or is there somthing wrong.

the only way to really tell is to get a wideband O2 sensor... that will tell the truth. f*ck
those other a/f gauges

Better way to monitor the A/F ratio is to see what voltage the o2 sensor is putting out.

there is really no way to tell if that is accurate or not without a wideband. all that gauge does is tell you whether it is running rich or lean, it does not tell you how rich or lean.
