My friend has been complaining that his AGX's are clunky as of recent !
My AGX's are holding up well with a 2.5" drop... same time frame as my friend.

my agx's feel like **** in the back... I just put them on about 4 months ago and already the rear of the car feels 2 years old, tons of slop and it just started. I have about 2.75" drop.

Over time, just about any shock will probably fail with an excessive drop. So many people have the thinking that "lowest is the best and coolest" and don't care about ride quality, which gets sacrificed with lowering too much. It kinda defeats the purpose of buying nice shocks when your ride is going to be **** anyway. IMO.
You think maybe that's why the warranty card says something along the lines of:
KYB AGX shocks are designed for vehicles that are operating at stock ride height. Operating these shocks at a lower ride height can damage them. This warranty is void if the vehicle is lowered more than 1.5 inches.
So, anyone who uses them on a car lowered beyond 1.5 inches is asking for blown shocks.
Duh.
