H22intoH23-#1
Ok, just swaped H22 into an H23 that had prev. sucked up water. Everything came out good, no codes. except now after it warms up cylinder 1 keeps missing. There is no smoke so I assume it has good compretion. There is spark coming from the plug. I have swaped plugs, dist.,injectors, fuel rails, thermo zister, ECU,. the manifold does not appear to be clogged. I am about to kick the car and scream then take it to some expensive diagnostic machine. unless anyone has any other ideas. thanks for the help. HOSS

The diagnostic machine is a person like you and me.
Excessive carbon build up can create a hot spot. GM has some good stuff for that. How many miles on the engine? Does it have good gas, does it go away if you adjust timing. Assumptions sometimes bite you in the ***. A compression check is certainly a good idea. How about an air pocket in the cooling system? How many miles on the fuel filter?

what type of hot spot? I checked compretion and it is good. The fuel filter should be ok because the other 3 cylinders fire fine, right? It does not go away if I adjust the timing, also the car cools fine. I Have swaped around the injecters and it still does it and I have squierted fluid through the injector port, and it seems to go through to the cylinder just fine. i have swaped plugs and all the outhr things I have mentioned. Is there a posibility of an injecter out of phase? any suggestions welcomed. .
