Default AEM or K&N?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but here it is. I have and AEM CAI and with it came an AEM Filter. Now I have been hearing of people replacing the AEM filter with a K&N. Is there a reason behind this because my AEM works perfectly fine. Does a K&N filter "perform" better?Just wondering if I should replace my AEM filter with a K&N filter. Thanks.

No worries. FYI, unless the same company making them markets their own filters, they almost always use K&N.
