Default adjusting timing problems

I went to adjust my timing today, and when I went and pulled the trigger, the light was flashing not continusly, it'll pause like between every 2-3 flashes. Could it be my distributor? because I do have a Crx si dizzy on my LS motor...

if your car is running smoothly its probably just the inductor not clamped onto wire 1 properly. You might have to wiggle it to get it in place and to get the light flashing continuously. Also make sure the clamp is not too close to the other spark plug wires.
