Default Adjusting idle

Got a golden eagle intake manifold on my turbo d16y8. Anyway Im running w/no IACV and the idle is to low and giving me code. To correct this problem do I just adjust my throtal cable to slightly crack open the tb, or should I adjust the little brass screw, or should I adjust the nut/screw on the bottom stop ?

there is a tiny screw with a nut on it that the throttle rotor rests on. adjust that so the butterfly is open a touch more. its like a 6 or 7 mm nut on a tiny threaded stud basically. should be towards the bottom on the throttle rotor

Why no IACV. The IACV controls the idle speed by controlling the amount of air bypassed into the intake manifold. You need it because your ECM controlls the idle speed by telling the IACV( which is just a solenoid that hangs open at amounts set by ECM). If you don't have it and you're supposed to, your car is always going to idle like ****. You can tweak the idle speed by adjusting the idle speed control screw on the top of the throttle body(slotted screw). You have to unplug the back up fuse, unplug the IACV connector, turn screw (counter-clockwise to increase, clockwise to decrease engine indle speed),plug in IACV connector, plug in back up fuse, and start motor. But the adjustment screw won't do anything without your IACV.

Do not adjust the idle by tightening the throttle cable. This will muck up the reading from the TPS. On the stock throttle body there is an air by-pass screw you can adjust, normally to achieve the base idle speed. That's where I would start.

AFIK, the ECU will not set a code for a "low idle". It will however set one for an inop IACV. Is that what you're getting?
