AC troubleshooting
I need some help with my AC.. it's blowing hot air
I checked the presure on the high and low systems, the low is at like 45, which is a little low and the high is at 85 which is very low I think... when I turn it on the fan and compressor kicks in. My question is, would those low presures cause it to blow hot like that? if so what's all invovled in refilling the high presure system, I think I found where it was leaking (right where the plastic hose turns to metal before the radiator)
before it starting blow hot air, it would intermittently blow hot air, but was mostly cool.
Thanks in advance

try adding more refrigerant befor replacing anything. its the cheapest way to troubleshoot. low should be 30-45 but the high side should be 110 over ambient, 200 is a good number. If the low side is high and the high side is low you may have the expansion valve stuck open or you have a bad compressor. good luck
