well i did my b16 swap in my 89 dx and i had a idle prob and fixed it while riding with the a6 ecu, and now that i threw in the b16 ecu i have the erratic idle again...what can it be, all i did was switch the ecu's

 

bum ECU is possible. it does control the idle.

 

it better not be cause its the only one i got..

 

Did you swap the TPS sensor wires? the outside are backwards then what the B16A needs.

The DX is Multi-Point right not PGM-FI?

It would be easier if I could look at it...

well if i did switch those wires then wouldnt it do this with the other ecu?

switch them. the old ecu reads them right, thats why it runs ok with that one, you need to switch them for the B series ecu.

 

hey i jsut found out my b16 ecu is a auto one...could this have anything to do with it??
