man dont buy the head.. what are you going to use it for an ls motor...if anything get a vtec head and save the money of buying it later. unless you just want to do turbo ls dont get it, it is a waste of money..

i want to turbo it but do a complete build up on it. bore, cams, pistons, heads, etc. i heard turbo on it for what im going to do would be a beast. so your saying go with the vtec block

If it's a good deal then go for it. Newer LS heads will add a little more power than teh 93.

i think what phatcivic was referring to was a ls/vtec setup. it consists of using a slightly larger displacement B18a/b block with a high revving vtec head.

if you just want to turbo a non-vtec engine, then the 99 ls head will work fine with a 93 block since it will have a safer (lower) compression ratio and blow-by from excessive overlap won't be as big a problem.

i'm not sure what year your chasis is, but its supposedly illegal to put an older block in a newer chasis. so if your car is 93 or older then it should be fine. if its 94+, then technically it should be illegal. just something to think about......maybe. HTH

its a 95, i was going to get a b17 put in therebut the damn guy never contacted me. and i believe it was the cable clutch on that engine. if i was able to get it can i switch it over to the hydro. not really worried about putting an older engine in there
